Who is Spectra?

What is a magnetic cartridge and why should I pay for one?
A magnetic cartridge is a mechanical device that converts vibrational energy from a stylus riding in a record groove into an electrical signal that is subsequently passed through amplification and then converted into sound energy by a loudspeaker system. They produce better sound than ceramic cartridges because their styli are lighter and move more freely. This yields a more accurate sound from the record as well as less wear and tear on the record.
Can I replace the magnetic cartridge?
Yes. Replace with Audio Technica AT3600LA (Moving Magnet type) with ATN3600 stylus.
